Mark Pawley, Co-Chairman

Mark is the CEO of Oxley Capital and brings a wealth of management and financial expertise together with unparalleled knowledge of the Asia Pacific region. He has previously served as COO at Credit Suisse, where he completed a number of high profile deals, including the $1b sale of Raffles Hotel Group, the $150m sale of Hamptons, the $1b sale of OUE, and the $1b Nasdaq IPO for PBL Melco. Mark also developed Credit Suisse’s Financial Sponsors Coverage Group into one of the industry leaders, while establishing relationships with all the major private equity firms active in the Asia region. As Chief Operating Officer of Investment Banking, he oversaw regional offices in Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Manila, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Taipei, Mumbai, Sydney and Melbourne. Mark is currently also Executive Director of RS China Holdings, a diversified China media and entertainment group, and of ARC Resorts, a global developer in integrated resorts and real estate. Mark is based in Singapore

René Schuster, Co-Chairman

René is a partner with ilion holding GMbH, an international M&A and investment company with offices in Hong Kong, Berlin, London and New York. He was previously COO at Vimpelcom, a global telco and mobile operator, and CEO of Telefonica Deutschland, which he took to IPO in 2012. Earlier, he was European CEO for Adecco, a business services company; CEO for Compaq in the UK and Ireland; global marketing director for Vodafone; and held various senior positions with HP, IBM and GE, and with KPMG Europe and UK. René is based in Germany.

Blake Baxter, Executive Director

Blake, widely known as a renaissance man, began his international career as a business strategist to high-profile private wealth individuals and has become recognized for his expansive toolset of business capabilities and skills. Early in his career, Blake worked with a number of major multinational corporations, and subsequently used his entrepreneurial spirit to conceptualize and develop a variety of start ups in a wide range of industries. Passionate about social responsibility, Blake has also dovetailed his professional experience with engagement in the non-profit sector. Blake is a University of California, Irvine graduate residing in Los Angeles, where he participates in endurance sports.

Doug Glen, Executive Director

Doug is a Hong Kong based venture investor and entrepreneur.  His long career in the media and entertainment industry spans movies, games, toys, and television.  Doug has served as CEO of Imagi Studios, Chief Strategy Officer of Mattel Toys, Group Vice President of Sega of America, and General Manager of LucasArts Entertainment. An MIT-educated engineer, he has been a co-founder of several high tech startups in streaming media, information technology, and computer graphics.

Michael Parker, Group CFO

Michael started his career with PKF in Australia where he earned his B.Comm from UNSW and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants. After life in the profession he moved across to News Corporation in various capacities including CFO positions at South China Morning Post (HK), Star TV (HK)and Fox Sports (Aus). Since then Michael has acted as Director of Strategy and COO of Australian media organizations and, more recently held a number of CFO positions in early stage developing companies in both Australia and Singapore.

Harbeen Arora

Dr Harbeen Arora, India

Dr Harbeen Arora is a global leader, educationist, philanthropist, spiritualist, author, social entrepreneur and businesswoman. She is the Global Chairperson of the ALL Ladies League, which has 500 chapters and more than 30,000 members worldwide, and also the Global Chair of the Women Economic Forum, which holds major conferences in India and other countries with the aim of furthering economic progress for women. Dr Arora is the Chancellor of Rai University in Ahmedabad, Rai Technology University in Bangalore and Jharkhand Rai University in Ranchi, India. She is the author of “Creative Living: Discovering Your Beautiful Path and Lifestyle toward Happiness and Wellbeing,” a work published in the USA in 2010; and co-authored “Dawn of a New Vibrant India via Education, Educare, E-Learning, Equity, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Empowerment. As a Spiritualist, Dr Arora has interpreted the universal teachings of Sai Baba, in a limited edition book, entitled, “The Seven Sacred Sai Values Innate in Every Human Being: How to Apply Them in Our Daily Lives for Happiness, Peace and Well-being.”

Dr Arora also leads NGOs, including the Center for Public Policy, which researches and advises the government on issues that affect civil society; Amaanat, which supports India’s artisanal heritage; and Aspirations India, a movement for youth. Her business interests include real estate, angel funding, impact investing, social entrepreneurship and projects related to infrastructure, energy, environment and agriculture.

Dr Arora is an Economics graduate from Delhi University, and holds a Masters from King’s College, London University and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and a PhD from Sorbonne Nouvelle, University of Paris III.
